Happiness at work

In 1987, the organisation Henry worked for went bankrupt... "The problem was not the talent or dedication of the people. It was the working environment. We weren't trusted, there was a strong blame culture and we weren't given the freedom to do our jobs".

Determined to learn from this, Henry set up 'Happy' and built the company around the idea that people work best when they feel good and are treated well. The company has gone from strength to strength and won numerous awards, including the best company in the UK for customer service (Management Today) and the 2nd best place to work in the UK (Financial Times Best Workplace Awards).  In 2009, Henry was listed as one of the top 50 most influential business thinkers in the world by Guru Radar of thinkers.

Here, Henry Stewart, considered one of the world's leading experts on creating happy workplaces speaks at an 'Action for Happiness' event which, coincided with the launch of His new book - a manifesto and a call for change in the way we treat people in our organisations.
